During the start of his campaign, Donald Trump and the Republican Party They promised to carry out the largest deportation in US history and now Republican Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance has taken up the issue again,

JD Vance said that the mass deportation of undocumented immigrantsproposed by Trump, should start with one million immigrants.

“Let’s start with a million… And we can go from there,” the senator from Ohio told ABC.

The Republican campaign has made immigration one of its most important battlegrounds. As in 2016, the former president has used undocumented immigrants and the border to win voters by promising to deport millions of immigrants.

In an interview with Time magazine, Trump said he would aim to deport between 15 and 20 million people who, according to him, are undocumented in the United States, and that he would use the National Guard to do so.

The proposal has sparked criticism over the large number of undocumented immigrants that the Pew Center estimated would be in the country in 2022.

The feasibility of deporting such a large number has also been questioned.

Asked about the ability to carry out the plan, Vance said he and Trump would take a “sequential approach” to addressing these deportations.

“We have to start with what can be achieved,” the Republican added.

“I think if you deport a lot of violent criminals and, frankly,”If we make it more difficult to hire illegal labor, which reduces the wages of American workers, we go a long way toward solving the problem of illegal immigration,” he added.

Vance said he is “extremely confident” that he and Trump will win the election next November, even though polls have shown momentum for the candidacy of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.
