The lack of air conditioning has been a situation repeatedly criticized by athletes at these Olympic Games, who have also registered complaints about the lack of some types of food in the Olympic dining room, among other claims.

“Many athletes move for this reason: it is not an alibi or an excuse, it is the reality of what perhaps not everyone knows. I am disappointed not to have made it to the final, but I was too tired.”commented the Italian Thomas Ceccon at the time.

The 23-year-old Italian swimmer said that these criticisms were not an excuse and that he also had to settle for bronze in the 4×100 freestyle relay at a productive Paris 2024 Olympic Games in his second appearance in this type of competition.
