This announcement was made on Friday by the Food and Safety Inspection Service who detailed that So far, 34 people have been reported sick and two deaths have occurred. supposedly due to the consumption of these products.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, “Listeria spreads easily between equipment, surfaces, hands, and food in delicatessen stores. Refrigeration does not kill listeriabut reheating to a high enough temperature before eating will kill any germs that may be on these meats,” he said.
The Sarasota, Florida-based manufacturer said the recall covers more than 103 tons of beef. They were produced between June 11 and 17 with an expiration date of July 25 to August 30.which was sold in retail chains in 3.5-pound presentations wrapped in plastic.
On the other hand, Boar’s Head also indicated that other products of the brand that could possibly contain listeria are being recalled and this is the list:
- Virginia Ham Traditional ham.
- Italian cappy style ham.
- Extra spicy Italian Cappy style ham.
- Bologna.
- Beef salami.
- Grilled bacon.
- Garlic bologna.
- Veal bologna.
