Adamari López and Dr. Nancy Álvarez had a lot to say about the wedding of Ángela Aguilar and Christian Nodal.
During a recent segment of Univision’s popular show “Despierta América,” panelists Adamari López and Dr. Nancy Álvarez commented on the most talked-about wedding of the moment: the union of Ángela Aguilar and Christian Nodal.
The debate centered on whether the wedding had been too rushed, with the provocative topic: “Getting married… after less than a year of dating?”
Adamari López believes that the marriage between Pepe Aguilar’s daughter and the popular Mexican singer was something planned and premeditated by the young couple. “They had already thought about everything, it was not an impulsive decision”said the former host of “Hoy Día.”
On the other hand, Dr. Nancy Alvarez expressed her concern about the speed with which the link was made. “It was something very quick, I think they needed to know each other a little more before taking the next step in their relationship.”commented the renowned therapist.
The discussion between Adamari and Dr. Nancy
“I feel like they didn’t get married in a quick wedding and I feel like they already knew what they wanted to do and were preparing for it.”Adamari said. “They were looking for her wedding dress, Angela Aguilar’s father was there, and there were also many members of the family, including Nodal’s, so it was a quick or secret wedding, and not even the parents would have known. It was a secret for us, who want to know everything, but not for them.”the presenter added.
Dr. Nancy believed that couples should first get to know each other.
“I would like, instead of talking about express weddings, to be told what happened to that couple. Was there an express divorce too?”Dr. Nancy asked. “Because it takes time to get to know a human being,” Alvarez said, to which Adamari replied: “That is true, but I ask you: When you married the doctor, did you have a quick wedding? Tell me how many days after you went out with him you got married.”Adamari demanded.
“I have known Dr. Alvaro Skupin for years,” the doctor replied.
Adamari replied: “When you started dating him. Don’t tell me, don’t give me that background.”.
“It was like in January. He fell behind me like in November. In March we got married,” Nancy replied, to which Adamari said: “A quick wedding! What are you talking about, Nancy?”
“It’s just that when there’s love it doesn’t matter”added Black Amara.
“The same thing might happen to Angela too”said Adamari, comparing Dr. Alvarez’s case with that of Aguilar.
“When someone decides to have a wedding, it is because they are really aware of it or – I am not going to defend her completely – maybe there is some pressure from the parents. Probably, Angela Aguilar’s father, Pepe, wanted to marry his daughter, well after all the rumors that had been spread around.”Adamari added.
Who was invited to the wedding?
Jomaris Goyso is the only Univision employee who attended the exclusive event, which had a short guest list of family and close friends. In an interview with Despierta América, Goyso revealed that he and singer Marc Anthony were two of the best men at the wedding.
“I don’t want to say much because I think it’s up to them to reveal their things”Goyso initially said, clarifying that he would not say anything, that he did not know could be said. However, he was asked if he was the best man at the wedding, to which he replied: “I am on Angela’s side, Marc Anthony is on Christian’s side, and part of the family”Goyso revealed.
