The Olympic Games are the most important sporting event for thousands of athletes. For some, competing means spending more than they can afford.

Jack Laugher, an Olympian from Great Britain, is one of the competitors who has had to resort to exclusive content sites to be able to pay for his career as an athlete. Laugher is a gold and silver medallist at Rio 2016 and won bronze at Tokyo 2020.

Paris 2024 will be her third participation in the Olympic Games, where she has arrived thanks to the Onlyfans platform.

“I’m almost 30 and I’m in the top three in the world,” he told the Daily Mail, adding: “So I’ll do whatever I can to get some extra money. I’ve got something that people want and I’ll happily try to sell it. It’s a really good way to make some extra money.”

The British athlete has been selling content on the Onlyfans platform since 2021. He said that he started with his father, who told him that he could sell it as a product and make money from it.

“When I was younger, my father used to say to me: ‘If you win an Olympic gold medal, it’s worth a million pounds.’ But it’s nowhere near that figure, And I can tell you that as someone who won an Olympic gold medal. He also told me, ‘Post stuff on Instagram, but when the product is free, like Instagram, you are the product,'” she said.

She has since posted over 500 photos and content on the platform for a subscription starting at $10 and has attracted thousands of subscribers and likes across the platforms.

Laugher said there will be no content on the platform during his participation in the Paris Olympics.

“I can’t wait to compete in the Olympics. Obviously, with the competition coming up, I will be less active. In any case, I have reduced my activity a little before these Games,” he said.
