Following much speculation, MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, has broken his silence on his co-host Ava Tyson. The celebrity expressed that he is disgusted and opposes Tyson’s unacceptable behavior.
In a statement posted on his X account, formerly Twitter, he wrote: “Over the past few days, I have learned of serious allegations regarding Ava Tyson’s behavior online and I am disgusted and stand against such unacceptable acts.”
MrBeast said that during the time he was not commenting, he had contacted a third party to conduct a thorough investigation into the allegations surrounding Tyson.
“During that time, I have been focused on hiring an independent third party to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure I have all the facts. That being said, I saw enough online and took immediate action to remove Ava from the company, my channel, and any association with MrBeast. I do not condone or support any of the inappropriate actions,” it reads.
He said he would await the outcome of the independent investigation before taking further action.
“I will give independent investigators the time they need to conduct a thorough investigation and will take further action based on their findings.”
What happened to Ava Tyson?
Ava Kris Tyson has made the decision to “permanently” leave social media after being accused of sexually abusing underage fans and being the target of transphobic attacks since she began her transition.
Tyson’s alleged victim, Lava, said that when she was 13 and Tyson was 20, the two were communicating on a Discord channel and talking about “inappropriate and naughty jokes.”
Although, she clarified that “I was never exploited or taken advantage of.” Following those statements, Tyson released a statement apologizing for any inappropriate behavior and saying she would be stepping away from the MrBeast brand.
“Creating a narrative that my behavior went beyond bad and provocative jokes is disgusting and did not happen,” she said.
He added: “Over the past few years, I have learned that my old sense of humor is not acceptable. I can’t change who I was, but I can continue to work on myself.”
The internet personality changed her name from Kris Tyson to Ava Kris when she began her transition. In the face of attacks against him, MrBeast has defended her from transphobia and so has his wife.
