Former President Donald Trump said Tuesday that “Absolutely” I would debate Vice President Kamala Harrisand added that I would be open to debate with her more than once.
“I agreed to debate Joe Biden. But I want to debate her and she will be no different because they have the same policies,” Trump told reporters at a press conference organized by the Republican National Committee.
“I would actually be willing to do more than one debate,” Trump added.
“I think if you’re between the Democratic candidate or the Republican candidate, you really have an obligation to debate,” said Donald Trump, who was formally nominated last week, two days after the assassination attempt on his life at a rally in Pennsylvania.
Trump He criticized again that the second debate will be held on ABC, as agreed with Joe Biden’s campaign months ago. The first one took place on CNN on June 27 and was the trigger for Biden to abandon the electoral campaign, due to his disastrous performance.
The former president said that is not “enthusiastic” about having a debate hosted by ABC. In a message on Truth Social last weekend, He asked that the debate be held on the conservative Fox News channel, instead of in ABC.
At her first rally since Biden ended his re-election campaign on Sunday and endorsed Kamala Harris, the vice president on Tuesday evoked her past as a prosecutor to harshly attack Republican candidate Donald Trump, who has become the first former president to be convicted of a crime in the country’s history and of whom the Democrat said: “I know well what his kind are like.”
Just 36 hours after officially launching his election campaign, Harris has mathematically become the Democratic nominee, although his nomination will have to be made official at the Democratic Party National Convention to be held in August.
