The American First Lady, Jill Biden posted some hearts this Sunday in support of her husbandPresident Joe Biden, after he announced he was dropping out of the race for re-election.
Jill Biden used her X account, formerly Twitter, to post two hearts next to the letter in which the president announced his decision.
After weeks of internal and external pressure, Biden noted in that letter that for the interest of the party and the country he sees fit to abandon his electoral fight against former Republican President Donald Trump (2017-2021).
“It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your president. And while my intention has been to seek re-election, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country that I step down and focus solely on fulfilling my duties as president for the remainder of my term,” said the 81-year-old current occupant of the White House.
