Armie Hammer, known for his role in the film ‘Call Me By Your Name’, He spoke with Piers Morgan and distanced himself from the accusations of cannibalism, and also confirmed that he has never consumed human flesh.
“Do you know what you have to do to be a cannibal? You have to have eaten someone,” he said.
Hammer also denied that Robert Downey Jr. paid for his admission to rehab, as reported by various media outlets.
“He didn’t pay for me to go to rehab”he sentenced. The actor added “I don’t want to put anyone else in my situation. There are several people who have been extremely helpful and I am incredibly grateful.”
Hammer said that although Downey Jr. did not pay for his rehab, the actor supported him like no other celebrity.
“In the sense that when someone in Hollywood who suffers from any kind of addiction – whether it be alcohol, process addiction or drugs – decides to stop drinking, that person will find you and help you.”
He said the actor advised him to take his time to process everything that had happened. “Sit down, shut up, everything is going to be okay,” were the words of the famous Marvel actor to Hammer.
What happened to Armie Hammer?
After his participation in ‘Call Me By Your Name’, the future of Armie Hammer was promising in Hollywood, however, his reality changed when he was accused, by several women, of sexual abuse.
His ex-girlfriend, Effie Angelova, also accused him of abusing her. The actor has denied all these accusations and claimed that all his relationships have been consensual.
The Los Angeles Police Department launched an investigation into Hammer following Angelova’s allegations; however, no criminal charges were ultimately filed against him.
In addition to this, he spoke about the relationship he had in the past with Effie Angelova: “It was a very intense relationship, very sexually charged, between two people with very similar inclinations and perversions.”
On the other hand, another of his ex-girlfriends, Paige Lorenze, stated that the actor marked his initials with a knife on her groin.
On this he replied “I wouldn’t say it’s a brand (…) We’re talking about a hypothetical situation in which I would take a tiny tip and trace the letter A.”
He mentioned that “in that situation there wasn’t even blood, it was more like a scratch.”
After everything that happened, Hammer was fired from his talent agency and has not been able to return to any acting projects.
