According to the authoritiesthe alleged drug trafficker, also known by the aliases of “El Apa”, “Toñito” or “Antonio Casanova”, was the leader of two criminal cells, which are generators of violence in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, called “The Cyclones” and the “Scorpions”.

According to the information obtained, both cells were responsible for the purchase, sale and trafficking of firearms from the United States, as well as the collection of protection money from businesses in the border city.
