Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has managed to surpass Joe Biden who, as president of the nation, remains in second place in terms of support, in seven states considered decisive in defining the White House.
According to the results of an opinion poll conducted by The Times/SAY24, The 81-year-old Democrat is trailing the New York tycoon in the key states of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
Trump received 42% of support in Michigan, compared to 40% for Biden.
In Pennsylvania, the New York candidate received 43% support, compared to 40% for the current president.
The 78-year-old tycoon also leads Joe Biden by four points in the states of North Carolina, Georgia and Nevada.
As if that were not enough, Trump also led Wisconsin by five points, but his greatest support is in Arizona, where he is seven points ahead of his archrival.
What is significant about these results is that they came after the president’s participation in the debate against Donald Trump.where he ended up getting tangled up in his thoughts and at times even sounded quite weak in front of the television cameras.
Since then, Several well-known voices inside and outside politics have demanded that the Democratic Party appoint a replacement candidate.
However, the president himself refuses to throw in the towel.as he claims to have the necessary strength and support from the citizens to defeat his opponent on the ballot.
It should be noted that in another survey focused on measuring Biden’s performance at the head of the White House, the results that emerged indicate that the majority of citizens surveyed were not satisfied with his performance.
In this way, in the coming weeks, Biden’s fate on the ballot could be defined, since after the attack on Trump on Saturday, the pressure focused on the nation’s leader seems to have dissipated.
