Due to the difficult times he is going through while in the White House, Joe Biden preferred to stop attending the Olympic Games as a distinguished guest which will take place in Paris, France.
The poor performance he showed in the presidential debate where, without making almost the slightest effort, Donald Trump defeated him, a victim of his unfocused appearance, has raised a sea of questions about Biden’s cognitive fortitude.
In addition to the expressions of rejection shown by several powerful donors to the Democratic Party, there are also the names of at least 17 well-known politicians and several entertainment celebrities.
They all demand that the head of state withdraw from the campaign that could give him four more years in Washington.
However, in a defiant tone, Joe Biden has made it clear that, As long as there is no legal recourse to remove him as a presidential candidate, He will continue forward in a race where, little by little, he is losing momentum. while Donald Trump has begun to take off, as most polls show.
To avoid further criticism of his tarnished image, the nation’s leader is using all the resources at his disposal.which range from offering short interviews to certain media outlets to avoiding as much as possible appearances at large public events, as it seems that this stuns and distracts him to the point of making him look bad in front of the media in charge of tracking him.
That is why the president’s team of advisors recommended that he not attend the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic Games as a distinguished guest.
Through a statement issued by the White House, it was announced that Joe Biden’s place will be taken by his wife Jill who, as First Lady, on July 26, will lead the delegation of athletes who will compete in the most important sporting event worldwide.
Meanwhile, Doug Emhoff, second gentleman and husband of Kamala Harris, will lead the delegation to the closing ceremony scheduled for August 11.
