The mistakes made by Joe Biden during the debate he held against Donald Trump a few days ago would have been decisive in Barack Obama deciding not to intervene further to support his candidacysays a report released by Political.

According to the cited news outlet, The former US president allegedly knew that actor George Clooney would publish an article of his authorship in the newspaper New York Times asking him to abandon his campaign and not trying to dissuade him, he also did not warn the 81-year-old president’s team to take precautions in this regard.

“I love Joe Biden. As a senator, as a vice president, and as a president. I consider him a friend and I believe in him. I believe in his character. I believe in his morals. Over the last four years, he has won many of the battles he has faced.

But the one battle he can’t win is the battle against time. None of us can. It’s devastating to say, but the Joe Biden I stood with three weeks ago at the fundraiser was not the Joe Biden of 2010. He wasn’t even the Joe Biden of 2020. He was the same man we all witnessed at the debate.“wrote the same character who days before had requested support from Hollywood in favor of Joe Biden.

The report is in contrast, as Obama himself participated in some fundraising events publicly supporting the candidacy of the man who at one time served as his vice president.

However, MSNBC host Joe Scarborough says Biden and Obama’s relationship is not as sweet as people thinkbecause in the past there was resentment in the current leader of the nation for not having supported him to compete for the Democratic presidential nomination and, instead, betting on Hillary Clinton who was ultimately defeated by Donald Trump.

“Joe Biden is deeply resentful of the treatment he received not only from the Obama team, but also for the way he was sidelined in favor of Hillary Clinton.

He is deeply resentful of those who try to push him out of the way. He has always felt like an outsider, he has always felt that people have looked down on him,” he said during the broadcast of his show.

So far, no spokesperson from the White House or Obama has commented on the matter.
