Kylian Mbappé is out of Euro 2024 after falling to Spain in the semi-finals. The Frenchman finished with two assists and one goal, a penalty, with a poor performance.

Once again, Mbappé has failed to deliver at the Euros. Here are 5 facts that reflect the Frenchman’s poor Euro performance:

– The French striker only scored 1 penalty goal in the third match against Poland, which was not enough for his team to win. It was a 1-1 draw. He has not scored more times against the opposing goal. Compared to his last finals, the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, There are seven goals difference. Then he scored two from penalties. At Euro 2024 he averaged 0.2 goals per 90 minutes. At Qatar 2022, 1.27.

– The striker has had 23 shots at Germany 2024, leading to just one penalty goal. His average of 4.17 at this tournament is higher than the 3.51 at the World Cup in Qatar. He was not as effective. Not even close. Nobody has had more shots than him at Euro 2024. Second is Cristiano Ronaldo, with 19.

– 8 of his 23 shots, which is 34.7 percent, have been on target. That’s 1.45 on average every 90 minutes. That’s even more than at the 2022 World Cup (1.43), but it has nothing to do with productivity. In Qatar he scored eight goals compared to one now.

– Mbappé has had 12.5 percent effectiveness, the worst of all the forwards who have scored at least one goal in Euro 2024. One of his eight shots on goal was a goal.

– Mbappé recorded 1.63 expected goals from plays at Germany 2024, but he has not scored any, only from penalties, which are not included in that advanced statistic.
