The national teams of Spain and Germany will be competing next Friday a place in the semi-finals of Euro 2024, which is being held on German soil, in a duel that promises to be an early final in the city of Stuttgart. The two teams with three European championships and that have been seen to play at a better level in the current continental competition, will face each other in a very exciting and very even duel, which has been gaining relevance and weight in the media, due to the statements of players and people linked to both teams.

Lehmann unleashed his acid with his words against ‘La Roja’

Spain has been recognized by the media, former players and the fans as one of the favourites to win Euro 2024. However, this flow of praise for the Spanish team is not shared at all by the legendary Jens Lehmann, former German goalkeeper and who believes that the current Spain is still “inexperienced and small” to the point of comparing them to “a youth team”.

“Spain is a small and inexperienced team; basically, like a team “Youthful,” were Lehmann’s words on Welt TV, where he had the opportunity to analyse the match between Germany and Spain. These statements have caused quite a stir four days before the quarter-final match between Spain and Germany.

“Spain is a small and inexperienced team. In terms of quality, they are better than Germany, but they are too short in stature and have little international experience.”

Germany has a team with unbalanced players like Musiala, Gündogan, Leroy Sané, Havertz, as well as the legendary midfielder Toni Kroos. They are playing at home, which is undoubtedly a major plus and a small “advantage” for the Bavarians. For their part, Spain have dazzled since their first match against Croatia and have not stopped showing their high level of play on the field with their victories against Luka Modric’s men, Italy, Albania and Georgia.

Lamine and Nico are key for Spain and its aspirations

Spanish coach Luis de la Fuente has been able to build a team quite fearsome with two of the most explosive and promising wingers in the whole of Europe and the world, Lamine Yamal of FC Barcelona and Nico Williams of Athletic Club Bilbao, as well as the midfield with Rodri and Fabian Ruiz, and the full-back Cucurella.

Oyarzabal responds directly to Lehmann: “It is just another opinion, respectable, but…”

THE PREVIEW IS HEATING UP 🤯🏆 | Tremendous words from Jens Lehmann in the preview of Spain🇪🇸 vs Germany🇩🇪 next Friday: The Spanish players are VERY SMALL. Tremendous.

Mikel Oyarzabal took the floor and raised his voice against Lehmann’s words, from the Spanish rally in Donaueschingen, stating that “it is just another opinion, respectable but not shared.”

“It is just another opinion, respectable but not shared. In the end we know that “We are a group that forms a great team and people will have their reasons for saying what they think, but it doesn’t influence us. We know what we are capable of on a daily basis. Today, we see what the group is like and we are calm, we trust in ourselves and without looking down on anyone, we think we can beat anyone,” said the Spanish striker.
