One of the bloodiest criminal organizations in Mexico, the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) suffered a blow after elements of the Mexican Army and the National Guard arrested one of its leaders, who was in charge in the state of Aguascalientes and, among other things, was in charge of ordering kidnappings, homicides and extortions.

The criminal is identified as the leader of a CJNG cell that is dedicated to the production, distribution and commercialization of methamphetamine, in addition to the aforementioned criminal actions, according to El Heraldo de Aguascalientes.
It also operated in the state of Zacatecas.in the municipalities of Cuauhtémoc, Zacatecas and Luis Moya; while in Aguascalientes he did so in Cosío and Rincón de Romos. Due to his criminal activity, he was wanted by the Prosecutor’s Offices of both entities.
At the time of his arrest, “El Cuchillo” was carrying a pistol, 500 doses of methamphetamine, three cell phones, live ammunition and cash, according to the N+ website.
Crimes he is accused of
Derived from the investigations of the Specialized Unit in the Fight against Kidnapping (UECS) of the Aguascalientes Prosecutor’s Office, it was reported that “El Cuchillo” is related to the execution of a merchant identified as Juan Manuel, 48 years old, who was the owner of a cheese distributor and was shot on the night of April 29, 2024, because He refused to pay “floor fees” to the CJNG.
Although he was shot in the head, he did not die instantly; he convalesced in the hospital for three days until his body succumbed.
It is also noted in an attempted execution of another 30-year-old traderwho was shot in the chest and taken to a hospital. The incident occurred on May 13, 2024.
The capture of this criminal adds to the recent arrest of David Armando “N”, alias “El Gordo”, who was arrested in Tonalá, Jalisco, but was transferred to Aguascalientes for his alleged participation in kidnappings and murders in said Mexican state.
