Defender OCTA: power and luxury redefined for extreme adventure

The legacy of the Defend has been synonymous with adventure and durability, but with the introduction of the new Defender OCTA, Land Rover has taken these features to a new level.

Designed to be the most powerful and luxurious SUV in the family, the Defending OCTA combines impressive power with innovative technologies that redefine what a 4×4 can achieve.

The heart of the Defender OCTA is a V8 hybrid engine smooth 4.4-liter Twin Turbo, delivering an astonishing 626 HP and 553 lb-ft of torque.

This high-performance machine allows the OCTA to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds, an impressive feat for a vehicle in its class.

But the OCTA’s power isn’t its only virtue; its chassis has been meticulously redesigned with 6D Dynamics suspension technology, guaranteeing an unrivalled driving experience both on and off-road.

Unprecedented design and capacity

The exterior of the Defender OCTA leaves no doubt as to its purpose. With a raised ride height and widened stance, its presence is imposing and robust.

The new bumpers and underbody protection ensure the OCTA can tackle the toughest terrain with confidence. Plus, it can wade through up to a metre of water, outperforming any previous production Defender.

The OCTA name is inspired by the diamond, one of the hardest and most desirable minerals on Earth, and its octahedral shape. This reference is reflected in the vehicle’s distinctive new graphic, symbolising strength and exclusivity.

Refined luxury

The luxury of the Defender OCTA is evident in every detail, especially in the limited edition OCTA Edition One.

This exclusive model is presented in the new color of Faroe Green paint and features a seamless 3D fabric interior in Khaki and Ebony UltrafabricsTM, plus carbon fiber accents and 20-inch forged alloy wheels with optional all-terrain tires.

The performance of the OCTA is simply unmatched. With its Twin Turbo mild hybrid V8 engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission, reaches a top speed of 250 km/h with 22-inch wheels.

Its torque, tuned for off-road performance, allows for impressive acceleration and exceptional handling on any terrain.

The Defender OCTA’s 6D Dynamics suspension technologyhydraulically interconnected, provides superior wheel articulation and minimizes vehicle roll, ensuring a smooth and controlled ride.

Suspension components such as longer forks and active shock absorbers are designed to withstand the most extreme conditions, both on and off road.

A new standard in off-roading

The Defender OCTA is equipped with an advanced network of semi-active dampers that virtually eliminate body pitch and roll.

His OCTA modespecially designed for off-road performance, offers control and confidence on the most challenging surfaces.

Also, enhanced driving modes such as Dynamic and Comfortallow you to adjust the vehicle’s response at the push of a button.

The exterior design of the OCTA has also been optimized for off-road performance. With 33 inch tiresextended wheel arches and a redesigned grille, the OCTA is ready to take on any challenge.

The color palette includes exclusive finishes such as Petra Copper and Faroe Greenand each model features a contrasting roof in gloss Narvik Black.

Inside the Defender OCTA, front-row Performance Seats and Body and Soul Seat surround audio technology create an immersive driving experience.

Upholstery options include semi-aniline leather and UltrafabricsTM, offering durability and comfort.

Land Rover is now accepting orders for the Defender OCTA, with a starting price of $152,000while the limited edition OCTA Edition One starts in $167,800.

This new high-performance hero will make its debut at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed, promising to take adventure and luxury to new heights.
