Terrible testimony of a woman before dying at the hands of her ex-husband in Arizona

An Arizona woman filed a complaint several weeks ago revealing that her husband had threatened to kill her, however, that did not stop the victim from ending up dead.

A week before the crime, Marcia McGrath53, filed for divorce from her partner, Robert Alan McGrath60, who is now charged with murder in connection with the deaths of his ex-wife and her mother, Thea Merlino77 years old.

On June 25, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call about a man with a gun in Sun City, Arizona, the agency said in a news release.

A neighbor reported hearing a loud noise coming from a nearby apartment and, while attempting to check on the resident’s well-being, encountered an individual, later identified as Robert McGrath, at the door with a gun.

“Robert pointed the gun at the complainants, ordered them to get on the ground and threatened to shoot them if they moved,” the statement said. “Robert then returned to the apartment and the callers fled to their own residence.”

The agents who arrived at the scene heard someone screaming for help inside the apartment and, upon entering, They discovered that the older woman had been shot to death and that Marcia had been “seriously injured.”

Shortly after arriving at the hospital, Marcia was pronounced dead. But Before dying, he gave authorities the name of his alleged killeraccording to court documents obtained by News 12 and Fox 10 Phoenix.

As first responders rendered aid, she told them that Robert McGrath had shot her, adding, “I’m divorced,” and that her ex “lives in El Mirage.”

Robert was arrested later the day of the shooting, at his El Mirage home, charged with two counts of first-degree murder, along with one count of robbery, two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of kidnapping and one count of robbery. armed hand

The case was filed this Friday in Maricopa County Superior Court, and A judge set bail at $2 million for McGrath.. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 5.
