Marcelo Bielsa’s press conference after Uruguay’s 5-0 win over Bolivia in the Copa America USA 2024 He had a very particular moment that completely disconcerted the experienced Argentine coach.

While “Loco” Bielsa was answering questions related to La Celeste’s second victory in this tournament, with which they secured their ticket to the quarterfinals, the coach was surprised by a totally out of place question that caused him confusion.

A journalist wanted to inquire about Marcelo Bielsa’s gastronomic tastes and asked him if he enjoyed a famous fast food chain. Having asked the question in English, the Argentine coach asked for help from the translator who was also surprised by the type of question they asked.

“But who is it?”Bielsa asked, thinking that they were talking to him about some player. However, after clarifying the situation, the experienced coach stated that he does not like the food from the well-known brand they told him about.

In a more serious tone during the press conference, the coach of the Uruguayan team avoided falling into triumphalism after their first two appearances in this competition where they are confirming themselves as one of the best teams so far.

“There are many steps that have not been taken to draw these conclusions. Without underestimating the strength of the two teams we are facing (Panama and Bolivia), these teams are not among those previously assigned as the best teams in this competition.”commented the Argentine strategist.

Marcelo Bielsa also highlighted that, as happened in the opening match against Panama (3-1), the blue team showed a drop in performance during the second half, which continues to be an area for improvement in this competition.

“In the previous game we had 15 minutes in the second half of a different performance than the rest of the game and today in the second half there was also a slightly longer period where the production was different”highlighted the coach who explained why it is something to worry about.

“Although we did not suffer situations in our goal, we stopped creating danger in the rival goal for a period of time”Bielsa concluded that now with his Uruguayan team he will be facing the United States in the closing of Group C where the South Americans already have their ticket to the quarterfinals secured while the North Americans arrive with the urgency of a good result to stay alive.
