Rossi Rivera, sister of Jenni Rivera, became the most recent eliminated from ‘Top Chef VIP 3’, this Thursday, June 27. Rivera had become one of the reality show’s most beloved participants and was fired in tears.

The businesswoman faced the three Venezuelans in the competition in the final challenge: Alicia Machado, Carolina Tejera and Gabriel Coronel.

According to the judges, the Mexican’s dish was not up to par to continue in the competition.

Both Machado and Tejera seemed sad to say goodbye to her, as the three of them had forged a friendship since the program began on May 21 of this year.

The official Telemundo Reality account posted: “A very painful farewell💔😔”

In the video, chef Belén Alonso said: “You are a very strong woman for everything you represent. I wish you the best and I hope that one day you will give me the recipe for carrot cake.”

Tejera announced that she will miss Rosie Rivera’s way of being. “For me, talking to Rosie was like being at home.”

For his part, Antonio de Livier exclaimed that Rivera is an example for the entire Latin community. “If you fall, shake yourself and move on, mamacita,” referring to the personality of the Diva de la Banda’s sister.

What did the followers think?
Another participant who was dismayed by Rivera’s departure was the Spanish-born actor José María Galeano.

Galeano said he would have preferred someone else to leave before Rosie. “Rosie, sweetheart, I feel bad,” he said through tears.

Through social media, fans of the show left messages of love to the businesswoman:

  • “Rosie, a worthy participation.🙌🔥”
  • “I would have preferred Alicia to go out. Rosie up!”
  • “A very beautiful woman on the outside, but gorgeous on the inside… Honest, genuine, authentic, special 🫶🏼”

While many showed him admiration and respect, other Internet users believe that the reason behind Rivera’s elimination is because of the way he made the arepas and considered disrespectful the way he referred to this typical dish, popular in Venezuela and Colombia.

  • “It was a fair exit, because he referred very badly to the arepas.”
  • “I knew he was going to leave, he was despotic with the preparation of arepas”
  • “It’s good that Rosie came out, because of the way she talked about the arepas.”

These are some of the comments posted on Telemundo’s official Instagram account.

Alicia Machado, the least loved?

Since the reality show began, Alicia Machado has been known for her honesty, but she has not been well received by all the participants.

Before José Luis Rodríguez ‘El Puma’ left, Machado confronted the Venezuelan and it became one of the most controversial moments of the cooking show.

For this reason, Machado was labeled disrespectful by her colleagues on the show, by fans and also by the Venezuelan’s own daughter, Lilliana Rodríguez.
