Two days after poll data revealed that, despite Donald Trump’s legal troubles in Georgia, the Republican was five points ahead of Joe Biden in that state, alarm bells went off within the Democratic Party and, as a result, They turned to the support of Keisha Lance Bottoms, former mayor of Atlanta, to add her to the team with the urgent need to provide advice to try to turn the problem around.

A survey conducted by the University of Georgia’s School of Public and International Affairs, whose results were published in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (AJC) newspaper, This puts the 78-year-old Republican at 43% of voter support, compared to 38% who say they support the 81-year-old Democrat.

For its part, Decision Desk HQ, a website focused on analyzing the results of most polls, predicts that Trump has a 63% chance of beating Biden in Georgia.

As a possible alternative to improve their campaign strategy, Democrats turned to Keisha Lance Bottoms, who in addition to having served as mayor of Atlanta from 2018 to 2022, At the time, she gained national recognition as a possible running mate for Joe Biden in the campaign that brought him to the White House.

However, the chosen one was Kamala Harris who, according to other polls, enjoys a low level of approval among citizens.

This time, In addition to Biden’s problem in Georgia, there is another bigger one related to support from the African-American community, as opinion polls indicate that he is leaning towards Donald Trump.

With this scenario, the feisty 54-year-old woman will enter the big leagues of politics with the mission of overthrowing Donald Trump, a character she immediately began to attack through an interview given to Ebony magazine.

“We spent four years tormented by the policies and erratic behavior of Donald Trump and another four years of promised retaliation to his political enemies are just the tip of the iceberg of the chaos he will once again bring to the United States,” he warned.
