Irina Baeva’s performance in ‘Aventurera’ is the topic of the moment in Mexico. Various personalities have given their opinions on her performance in such an important play and she has received criticism, especially from Niurka Marcos.
Amid the wave of negative comments, actress Alessandra Rosaldo showed her support. In a meeting with the Mexican press, she confessed that a few years ago, she mentioned that she did not remember which one, Carmen Salinas asked her to play the leading role of her.
Rosaldo stated that, at that time, she was busy making novels and the proposal did not materialize.
“The truth is that it is a character that, at the time, would have made me very nervous to play,” she confessed.
“I wish Irina the best of luck, she is not an easy character. It is not an easy work. I hope she does amazingly and that you (referring to the press) support her a lot.”
Since the play premiered on June 20, Baeva has received countless criticisms for his performance.
Niurka Marcos was one of the most severe, ensuring that the actress, of Russian origin, did not know how to dance and that the production of the staging should have considered this before hiring her.
Marcos said that there were actresses in Mexico capable of playing the role. The Mexican journalist and host, Gustavo Adolfo Infante, admitted that he found it boring and that he hoped it would improve with time.
Rosaldo faces rumors of a breakup with Eugenio Derbez
In his meeting with the media, Rosaldo addressed the new divorce rumors between her and her husband, the producer, comedian and actor Eugenio Derbez.
“It’s very funny, I mean, we’re already used to it because throughout the 18 years we’ve been together, the rumor always arises at some point.”he exclaimed with laughter.
He added that they are “better than ever” at the moment and that when they have been in trouble, the press has not been able to find out about it.
“But it’s funny how they have the good sense to separate us when we’re better than ever. And when there’s a real crisis… nobody notices, nobody even notices,” he replied.
The story between Rosaldo and Derbez began in 2005, then they married in 2012 and share their daughter Aitana.
Over the years, they have become one of the most emblematic couples in Mexico.
