A new casualty of an important criminal leader of Los Chapitos He was registered in Sinaloa, because during a military operation he was murdered Raúl Alberto Carrasco Lettucealias “The Chore”who was the right hand of the criminal group led by the sons of Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán and he was a key player in the so-called “Culiacanazos” in 2019 and 2023. The events occurred in the Leopoldo Sánchez Celis community, belonging to the El Dorado municipality, in a warehouse where trailers are stored in which several minors were working, when elements of the Mexican Army and the National Guard were carrying out a security operation and passed near the place.
It was early morning, the criminals inside the warehouse shot at the soldiers, who responded to the attack and a search was made. an exchange of gunfire that lasted for around 40 minutesaccording to witnesses of the events told the local media Los Noticieristas.
While the majority of the local residents took shelter in their homes to avoid being collateral victims of the shooting, some people took to the streets, looking for their relatives, chaos and horror once again took over Sinaloa. The result of the operation was seven dead and three arrested.
Who was “El Chore”?
Carrasco Lechuga was head of the Los Chapitos plaza in El Dorado, he was part of the security team of Iván Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar, with whom he developed a friendship. Her name came to light in October 2019 after the failed capture of Ovidio Guzman.
He is credited with being responsible for the narcoblockades carried out that day of terror in which Culiacán burned, causing the president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, ordered the release of “El Ratón”. He was also a participant in what happened in the second Culiacanazo, on January 5, 2023. The authorities were tracking him, on February 29 he was about to be captured during an operation in which they secured a ranch or party hall in his property in the La Flor ejido, in El Dorado.
At this site, altars of Santa Muerte and a party hall with the letters CHR, related to his nickname: “El Chore,” were seized. But the luck with which he managed to escape ended in the trailer warehouse, where he was shot dead.
“It goes without saying that we are people from Archivaldo / they call me ‘Chore’ and I have more than a hundred plebes in charge / there has been a good friendship with the bosses for years. / And if they occupy me, here I am going to walk in El Dorado” says a fragment of the song “Street School”performed by Raúl Beltrán and Novillos de la Sierra.
Another narcocorrido in his honor, performed by Panchito Arredondo, says: “Of the new rank and the new litter, the shirt is worn out / I am young, but I have the experience and the trust was given to me by the company / I thank the bosses for their friendship from a long time ago / I am ‘El Chore’ so that they can locate themselves, in the shiny one I take.”
On his Instagram account, Panchito Arredondo regretted the death of the criminal“I’m gone buddy, to heaven buddy, thank you,” were the words with which he said goodbye to “Chore.”
