At the time when it was thought that the Commissioner of soccer in Mexico, Juan Carlos “La Bomba” Rodríguez, would go down in history for a brave decision that would prioritize the sporting aspect to find a balance with the economic aspect, it turns out that a decision is coming that is clearly contrary to these aspects, such as the refusal to revive the promotion and relegation in all categories of Aztec football.
The above is the spearhead of an almost defined project, according to journalistic versions, worthy of all credit, which ensure that the condition for a group of investors to contribute 1.3 billion dollars to the Liga MX lies in the fact that the number of participating teams is maintained as before and that the timeshare is cancelled, so that the money coming from abroad has the security that no legal aspect jeopardizes that money that will be paid to them in a percentage of ten percent of the total profits that Mexican soccer teams will receive.
This decision contrasts with the aspirations that existed of the teams in the lower categories to continue betting on maintaining their franchises, with the intention that the high command of the Mexican Football Federation, pay attention to its aspirations to achieve a sporting place in the MX League in the short term.
Clubs such as Atlante, Cancún FC, Dorados de Sinaloa, Leones Negros de la UdeG, Mineros de Zacatecas, Alebrijes Oaxaca, Correcaminos, Venados FC, Atlético La Paz and Cimarrones de Sonora, They will be the affected ones, especially since their investments were aimed at getting a place in the top circuit with the promise of improving their franchise in all aspects.
The negative is that the cob is shelled downwards and this will affect the Premier League and TDP League teams, thus causing there to be no sports goals that can motivate new investors in professional soccer in Mexico.
It is true that Liga MX teams defend their investments and with this fund, their assets will be protected, although the lack of competition will be a hard blow for the emergence of new teams that can compete. with big franchises like América, Chivas. Cruz Azul, Pumas, Tigres and Monterrey, leaving aside the possibility that other teams can reach the level of investment of these squads.
Obviously, this decision would go against the structural decisions that the high command of the Mexican Football Federation has proclaimed, but in reality it is far from being a reality, such as the reduction of foreigners. and that has been disguised by decisions such as placing filters to hire foreign players and reviving the 20/11 minor rule, but without having the intention of opening new sources of work for young talents in the MX League.
