This year the e-commerce giant, Amazon, will hold its annual “Prime Day 2024” discount party from next Tuesday, July 16 at 12:01 am PDT until Wednesday, July 17 with more than 30 categories available.
To help promote sales for this 10th Prime Day, The retail chain invited rapper Megan Thee Stallion who has composed a song for Amazon “It’s Prime Day”which will stream on Amazon Music.
Through a statement, Jamil Ghani, vice president of Amazon Prime, noted that “Prime Day is a celebration of the value we bring to members all year round and features millions of deals across more than 35 product categories, as well as discounts on Amazon devices, quality entertainment, groceries, travel and more during the event,” he said.
Like all years, Prime members will have early access to discounts and starting July 8, it is expected that some influencers and celebrities such as: Jess Sims, Alyssa McKay, Monet McMichael, Jared McCain, Millie Bobby Brown, Meredith Duxbury and Alix Earle will be promoting discounts on their products.
On this “Prime Day 2024” some brands such as Nordic Track, Poppi Prebiotic Sodas and Hatch will also be present.
“Over the past year, Amazon customers saved nearly $24 billion on deals and coupons, and Prime members enjoyed the vast majority of those savings, including more than $2.5 billion during Prime Day 2023”Ghani expressed.
The e-commerce giant has already detailed some of the anticipated savings that can be found this year, including 50% discounts on Prime Video, Prime Video Channels, Crunchyroll, Starz and MGM+.
Plus, 68% off select Amazon devices, deals up to $15 on Amazon Fresh groceries where Even customers with a registered EBT card will be able to get three free months of Amazon groceries.
Finally, Amazon Prime subscriptions are priced at $14.99 per month or $139 per year.but for students and buyers between 18 and 24 years old the cost is $7.49 per month or $69 per year.
