The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides payments every month to its beneficiaries through an EBT transfer card with which recipients can purchase food at authorized grocery stores, supermarkets, and retail chains.
The amounts for each benefited family may vary depending on the number of members it comprises. A single person receives $291 dollars, a family of four $973 dollars and a household of eight members up to $1,751 dollarsFor each additional member, $219 dollars is added to the benefit.
There are some states that send more money to recipients and this is because the payments adjust to the high inflation in the area, Among these are Alaska and Hawaii where the amounts can reach $1,937 dollars for a family of four people.
