According to information exposed by TUDN, the Chivas de Guadalajara have three footballers on their radar. The management of the Sacred Flock would already be planning their squad for Apertura 2024.
“They have three names that catch your attention (…) The names used by the Guadalajara board are Jordi Cortizo, Orbelín Pineda and Sebastián Córdova”explains the report.
However, the main difficulty with these hires has to do with money. These three players are highly rated and one of them plays in the Old Continent (Orbelín Pineda).

Of the three players involved, the most economical signing would be Jordi Cortizo. The Rayados de Monterrey player is valued at $4.3 million dollars. The 27-year-old winger has a contract with the club until December 2026.
Besides, Sebastian Cordova would be next on the list. The midfielder of the Tigres de la UANL is valued at $5.4 million dollars. The footballer from the feline team has a link in force until December 2025.
The last one on the list is Orbelín Pineda. In addition to playing in Europe, a no small detail, The Aztec is valued at $7.5 million dollars. The Mexico national team player has a link with the AEK Athens until June 2027.
In general terms, Chivas de Guadalajara should have more than $15 million dollars to be able to get excited about these players. However, each of these players still has a long contract and this is a factor that works against the Sacred Flock when haggling.
