The departure of José Luis Rodríguez, known as ‘El Puma’, from Top Chef VIP 3 has generated widespread debate and controversy, especially due to the incident that occurred with Alicia Machado before her elimination.
Various artists have expressed their opinions on the subject, and recently, Gabriela Spanic joined the list of those who have spoken out on the matter.
The Venezuelan actress sent an emotional message to ‘El Puma’ on her Instagram account, praising her participation in the reality show and regretting her elimination.
“This post is a tribute to the career of ‘El Puma’. As a Venezuelan and Hispanic woman I know of the public’s affection and respect for one of our great figures in music and entertainment”
The actress ended her post: “I am also a Christian and the word says that ‘the humbled will be exalted.’ Sometimes, the rating does not forgive the gray hair in the middle, which is nothing more than talent accumulated and worked with effort. Up Puma, and although love enters through the kitchen, injustices are also gratinated with applause and in the end that is what counts and counts. Thank you for the lesson of humility and respect that you gave us all.”.

Spanic referred to the episode that the singer experienced with Miss Universe 1996, Alicia Machado. Many of her colleagues classified her as disrespectful, as did her daughter.
What did Liliana Rodríguez say?
Through a comment on the official Telemundo account, Rodríguez asked the television channel to take action and, surprisingly, the next day, his father was eliminated.
He wrote: “This is deplorable and unacceptable. Gray hair is respected. I hope that Telemundo takes action on the matter because the message is disastrous ‘make fun, mock, disrespect the elderly and you will be rewarded.'”
The whole discussion started because Machado wanted to give instructions to El Puma, this in order to win the couples challenge.
However, the Venezuelan uttered the following phrase “Kindergarten has arrived”, this generated anger in the winner of the first season of ‘La Casa de los Famosos’.
After what happened, Machado tried to apologize to his compatriot, but he rejected her on several occasions.
In the program ‘Hoy Día’, he reflected on his departure from the reality show and, although he did not mention a name, he stated that there are people who need attention and that is why they act the way they do.
‘El Puma’ became one of the most beloved competitors in the competition. His departure has been the most emotional so far.
Top Chef VIP 3 began on May 21, the competition brings together celebrities who compete for a unique prize of $200,000.
