To celebrate his 42nd birthday, Prince William attended Taylor Swift’s concert at Wembley Stadium in London, in his first show of ‘The Eras Tour’.
The prince attended the show with his children: Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.
“Nothing says happy 42nd birthday more than taking the kids to see a @taylorswift13 #ErasTour concert,” royal household reporter Roya Nikkhah wrote in X (Before X).
The news was confirmed by ABC News, although Us Weekly assured that little Louis stayed at home.
Taylor Swift is welcomed in the United Kingdom
The pop star was well received in the United Kingdom, upon his arrival in London, the royal band sang one of their greatest hits ‘Shake It Off’ in front of Buckingham Palace.
Swift, 34, did not arrive alone in London, she was accompanied by her boyfriend Travis Kelce, along with her siblings: Jason Kelce and Kylie Kelce.
The pop artist has three shows from June 21 to the 23rd, this is her return since her relationship with Joe Alwyn ended.
After finishing her concerts, Swift will take a break for a few days and return to the stage on July 4 at the Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam, NL.
This is not Swift’s first acquaintance with Prince William. In 2013, they met in person, since the American she sang ‘Livin’ on a Prayer’, during a Centrepoint charity event at Kensington Palace.
The departure comes after several public appearances by the royal family. On June 15, they attended the Trooping the Color festivities in honor of King Charles’ birthday.
And Kate Middleton also took advantage of appearing publicly, after admitting that she suffers from cancer.
Taylor Swift and her ‘The Eras Tour’
‘The Eras Tour’ is an event that brings together all of Taylor Swift’s albums. The production behind it is great, as it includes costume changes, choreography and surprise songs.
During 2023, it became one of the most successful tours of all time and the same thing is happening this year. With her tour, Swift is traveling all continents and assured that it will end in December.
The whole event occurs while she is promoting her new album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’, an album that has some lyrics dedicated to her ex-boyfriend, actor Joe Alwyn.
