France faces the Netherlands on the second day of Group D of Euro 2024. This will be one of the games with the most expectations and that is historically favorable to the French.

Of the last 10 meetings, France has won eight, a draw and two victories for the Dutch.

The Clockwork Orange’s most recent triumph was in the UEFA Nations League in 2018.

That match, with goals from Giorgino Wijnaldum and Memphis Depay, with Ronald Koeman on the Dutch bench and Didier Deshcamps on the French bench.

This is the only blur of the ‘bleus’ in their closest journey, in which it has been a nightmare for the Dutch team, defeated from 2014 to 2023, with that only alteration.

Holland’s last victory against France in the Euro Cup

The other victory for the Netherlands dates back to 2008 when they also won on the second day of the group stage of the Euro Cup.

In that meeting, Dirk Kuyt, Arjen Robben, Robin Van Persie and Wesley Sneijder they scored the goals in the 4-1 victory. For France, Thierry Henry scored for the French.

The most immediate match in time, on October 13, was a 1-2 in Amsterdam, precisely within the qualification for the current Euro Cup (France finished four points higher).

In addition, they also won 4-0 at Saint Denis, in Paris, on March 24, 2023, with goals from Antoine Griezmann, Dayot Upamecano and Kyllian Mbappé (2).

Among the most recent results are the 2-1 on September 9, 2018 in the Nations League, the 4-0 on August 31, 2017 and the 0-1 on October 10, 2016 in the qualifying phase for the Russia World Cup 2018.

There are also two 2-0 in friendlies, both on March 25, 2016 and March 5, 2014, completing France’s most recent numbers against their opponent this Friday.

The Clockwork Orange has only scored three goals in that sequence compared to the 17 of the ‘bleus’.
