Britney Spears reappears on the music charts and it is not because she has new music, her fans are uniting to position the song ‘Criminal’, after Justin Timberlake’s arrest for driving while intoxicated.
The singer was arrested this Tuesday, June 18, after the police confirmed that he was driving under the influence of alcohol.
After what happened, fans of the pop princess used their social networks to encourage users to buy and listen to Spear’s single released as a single from her seventh album in 2011.
According to People, the single is ranked number 68 on the iTunes pop chart in the United States.
In other countries, it is also rising, reaching number one in Mexico, third place in Brazil and position 67 in Spain.
It’s not the first time it happens
It is not the first time that Britney Spears fans have mobilized against Justin Timberlake, and this has intensified even more after the publication of her book, ‘The Woman in me’.
In January of this year, The singer released his single ‘Selfish,’ and fans turned their attention to a Spears song of the same name in 2011.
This is how on January 26, the pop star’s song reached number one on the iTunes charts.
In her memoirs, the singer revealed some secrets and one of them was that she became pregnant during her relationship with Timberlake. She was willing to have the baby, but he did not feel ready and therefore, she made the decision to terminate her pregnancy.

What happened to Justin Timberlake?
Timberlake was arrested in Sag Harbor, New York, when he allegedly drove his 2025 BMW through a “stop” sign and “failed to stay on the right side of the road,” the police report revealed.
In turn, People cited part of the report: “Timberlake’s eyes were bloodshot and glassy, a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emanated from his breath, he could not divide his attention, spoke slowly, walked unsteadily, and performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests.”
However, the singer denied this version and stated that “I had a martini and followed my friends home.”
Finally, he was charged with driving while intoxicated and has two citations: for running a stop sign and another for failing to stay in lane.
After being released, the star is due to appear in court on July 26.
