Alicia Machado and José Luis Rodríguez, known as ‘El Puma’, They argued in the kitchen of Top Chef VIP 3while they were preparing to take on a new challenge in the competition for $200 thousand dollars.
The two Venezuelans were competing as a couple and during the process differences arose. The former beauty queen complained to the Venezuelan singer for a comment he made: “Kindergarten has already started.”
Machado stated that he found the comment disrespectful and also a little unnecessary. However, he did not hesitate to respond: “Let’s see Puma, we are going to start competing, you and I, so I have every right to ask whatever I want and I need you to listen to me in this challenge.”.
As is characteristic, ‘El Puma’ answered in the most relaxed way possible and released “Alicia, don’t start inventing strange things.”
The Venezuelan reiterated that she only wanted to win the challenge: “You don’t start inventing strange things either and I want you to listen to me because I don’t want to lose.”
Rodríguez assumed that Machado was scolding him and asked him, the winner of the first season of ‘La Casa de los Famosos’ added that he was only warning him.
“No no no. Not like that Alice. Relax,” said the interpreter of ‘I want to be your love’.
How did they react on the program?
Everyone was listening to what was happening and at that moment, chef Belén Alfonso sent a message to all the participants, especially Machado and El Puma:
“When we work as a couple it is like in life, we have to know how to listen and know how to communicate so that things flow.”
Alfonso considered that Rodríguez did not disrespect Miss Universe 1996, but she continued “I am also a respectable person.”
As is common in the reality show, the contestants gave their opinion on what happened and some took sides with the singer.
Pancho Uresti supported the Venezuelan and assured that he is an 81-year-old man, therefore, he deserves more consideration and that he was sad about what happened.
“He is an 81-year-old man who has earned the love of everyone here. I think I’m not the only one who is sad and angry with Alicia’s attitude.”said.
Another who took sides with the artist was the Spanish actor, José María Galeano, and expressed “She doesn’t shut up, she doesn’t listen, she doesn’t listen.”
In the past, Machado also confronted Galeano and was clear when she told him “I am characterized by my sincerity” and confessed that she was not willing to associate with people who spoke badly of her.
So far, eight participants have left the competition. The first was the actor, Mark Tacher, who left the competition voluntarily and the rest have been eliminated by decision of the juries:
