The Alfa Romeo Alfasuda model that left an indelible mark on Italian automotive history, is receiving a second life thanks to the intervention of Alma, a Portuguese tuner known for his passion and dedication to classic cars.
Under the name Alma Sprint, this new version of the Alfasud is presented as a modern and sporty reinterpretation, inspired by the legendary Sprint 6C, a rally prototype developed in collaboration with Zagato in the 80s.
The magic of classic design with a modern touch
The Alma Sprint stands out for its faithful reproduction of the distinctive features of the original Alfasudwhile adding contemporary design elements.
The classic truncated rear, characteristic of Zagato, and the small trilobe in the center of the grille, are maintained, but with a touch of modernity that provides more muscle and softer lines.
The interior has been redesigned with high quality materials such as Alcantara and aluminum elements, providing a more careful and sporty environment than that of the original model.
Sabelt sports seats and four-point belts complete the focus on high-performance driving.
Regarding the mechanics, The Alma Sprint makes a notable difference compared to the original Alfasud.
Instead of the central V6 Busso of the Sprint 6C, This model has a 1.8 liter boxer engine capable of producing 158 hp. Although it may not seem like impressive power, the vehicle’s low weight of just 880 kg ensures dynamic performance.
Upgrades include forged pistons, a Torsen limited-slip front differential and revised tuning, making the Alma Sprint an agile and fun-to-drive machine.
Limited edition and exclusivity
Only 20 units of the Alma Sprint will be manufacturedwhich adds a significant level of exclusivity to this Alfasud rebirth.
The first deliveries are scheduled for 2025and although prices have not yet been announced, they are expected to reflect the quality and exclusivity of the vehicle.
This model is not only a tribute to Alfa Romeo’s legacy, but also an example of what the combination of classic design and modern technology can achieve.
