Teenage women cause crash aboard stolen vehicle in South Los Angeles

Two teenage women, who were traveling in a stolen carcaused an accident involving three vehicles when they were being chased by police on Sunday night in South Los Angeles and sent two injured people to the hospital.

The accident occurred at approximately 6:15 p.m. when officers from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) They identified a white Kia car reported stolen traveling on Obama BoulevardLAPD Southern Traffic Division Sergeant Kevin Ahlemeir told KTLA.

When police officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver, who at this time was unknown to be a teenage girl, did not yield to orders and led authorities to begin a chase.

As the teenager approached La Brea Avenue, at the intersection crashed into two other vehicles, a white Chevrolet U-Haul truck and a BMW car.
