Scooter Braun retires. The 43-year-old American businessman announced that he will leave his job as an artist manager to focus on his family and his entertainment company HYBE America.

Braun made the announcement through his Instagram accountwhere he shared a long statement in which he reviewed his more than two decades of career as an artist representative.

“I have been fortunate enough to live a Forrest Gump-like life while witnessing and participating in the journeys of some of the most talented people the world has ever seen. I constantly pinch myself and ask myself ‘how did I get here?’ And after 23 years, this chapter as a manager has come to an end,” he indicated.

Scooter Braun began his career when he was just 19 years old. as a manager for an artist named Cato in Atlanta, Georgia.

The record producer He indicated that he had mixed feelings about retiring from the job he has held all his life.

“It’s a strange feeling because I think I’ve wanted this for a while, but I was really afraid to answer the question ‘who would I be without them?’ I was actually only 19 when I started. So for my entire adult life I played the role of 24/7 artist manager. And for 20 years I loved it. That’s all I knew,” his statement says.

Although he loved his job, Braun made the decision to enjoy his family life. “As my children grew up and my personal life took some hits, I realized that my children were three superstars that I was not willing to lose. The sacrifices I was once willing to make I could no longer justify. It was time to take on a new role,” she added.

What artists did Scooter Braun represent?

In his 23 years of career, Scooter Braun served as a manager for artists such as Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, J Balvin and Usher.

He also represented Zac Brown Band, Martin Garrix, Andrew Watt, Lil Dicky, Tori Kelly, David Guetta, Steve Angello, Carly Rae Jepsen.

However, A couple of years ago his reputation as an artist manager suffered a serious blow. In 2018obtained the rights to Taylor Swift’s first six albums after purchasing the Big Machine Record Group label.

After purchasing the record label, Braun prevented the artist from performing her songs at the 2019 American Music Awards and using them in her Netflix documentary, Miss Americana (2020), so Swift decided to re-record her first six albums.
