According to the Social Security Administration schedule, this week corresponds to the second round of payments to retirees after May 1997, The amounts depend on the retirement age.
The first days of the month correspond to receiving payments to retirees before May 1997, then a three-round planning is carried out to retirees after that date, generally sent on Wednesdays.
However, for this week the payment will be advanced to Tuesday, June 18 for retirees born between the 11th and 20th of any month, since Wednesday the 19th is a holiday. These adjustments are also made by Social Security when payday falls on a weekend.
The retirees who receive $3,822 dollars every month are those retired at age 67, which is the full retirement age, while those retirees at age 70 get $4,873 dollars and at age 62 they receive $2,710 dollars per month.
The next expected Social Security payments are for retirees born between the 21st and 31st of any month. The entity is already close to making the Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) for next year.
