Regarding the final stretch in the designation of Donald Trump’s running mate for the presidential elections, Kristi Noem, the governor of South Dakota, made one last attempt to try to convince him to elect her.

Recently, in an interview with the television network Fox NewsandThe 78-year-old Republican acknowledged facing doubts about which is the best option to accompany him on the ballot and therefore he suggested that it would be best to wait until the Republican National Convention to announce the character’s name.

According to people close to the nation’s former president, at least seven candidates are on his radar: Senators Tim Scott Marco Rubio and JD Vance; Representatives Byron Donalds and Elise Stefanik; Ben Carson, former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development; and Doug Burgum, governor of North Dakota.

Without doing so much promotion, this last candidate displaced his colleague from the south, Kristi Noem, whose scandals linked to conflicts with indigenous groups, excessive personal expenses on account of the treasury, and even the shooting executions he carried out of a dog and a goat, They ended up distancing her from Trump.

However, in a desperate attempt to get the nation’s former president to reconsider taking it into account, The 52-year-old woman reminded him that women’s votes could be the difference between the winner and the loser in the November elections.

“All the polls tell you in swing states that a woman on the ticket helps you win. The polls simply say that.

One in four Republican women has not made a decision because they want a woman to speak to them about the issues they care about, and women are not monolithic. “They don’t care about a single issue,” said the governor of South Dakota during an interview with the television network cnn.

Nevertheless, Donald Trump seems to be more focused on achieving the support of two other sectors that would represent a greater credibility blow to his campaign, the Latino and African-American community.

In both cases, Senators Marco Rubio and Tim Scott could provide the key to access these voters, which further relegates Kristi Noem’s aspiration to be named running mate of the favorite presidential candidate in most polls.
