The Argentine national team continues to refine details for the Copa América 2024. The Albiceleste faced Guatemala in their last match before the start of the tournament. The “Gauchos” defeated Luis Fernando Tena’s team 4-1. The Mexican strategist offered his thoughts on the Argentina team.
The game took place at El Commanders Field. This sports venue is located in Landover, Maryland, United States. Guatemala took the lead on the scoreboard thanks to an own goal by Lisandro Martínez in the fourth minute of the game.
But then the Argentine steamroller would come. The victory of the Albiceleste team came thanks to a pair of doubles. Lionel Messi (12′,77′) and Lautaro Martínez (39′,66′)were the authors of the annotations.
“They are a very solid team, they know what they play very well. You can see that they are a family, they play with great intensity. The Albiceleste team will begin its journey in the 2024 Copa América against Canada. This match will take place next Thursday June 20th. The duel will take place at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Luis Fernando Tena considers that the duel against Guatemala dIt will be learning for both groups. Although they will have different paths, the game would have left lessons on both sides.
