David Benavídez wants to show that he can also be dominant at 175 pounds in his debut against Gvozdyk

David Benavidez He wants to show that he can also be dominant at 175 pounds as he is at super middleweight in his debut in the category against Oleksandr Gvozdyk for the interim belt of the World Boxing Council (WBC).

“I feel that each performance will be the best to date because I am improving and evolving as a fighter and as a man. He is a great fighter. He has a really good amateur pedigree. He has a really great professional pedigree. He is a world champion. He is more of a Ukrainian style boxer. I watched him a lot and actually coached him a couple of times in Oxnard. So I know his style very well,” he added.

David Benavídez and Oleksandr Gvozdyk will star in the co-feature fight of the card that will be headlined by the fight between Gervonta Davis and Frank Martin for the World Boxing Association (WBA) lightweight world championship, on June 15 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
