Former Republican representative from Illinois Calls “pathetic” the fact that Nikki Haley has announced that she will vote for Donald Trump as president.
The former Air Force pilot who was relegated by the majority of members of the Republican Party after being one of the two conservatives who were part of the House of Representatives select committee in charge of investigating the attack on the Capitol on January 6, 2021, He attacked who was Trump’s staunchest opponent during the campaign to obtain the Republican presidential nomination.
“Still not a surprise: pathetic,” he wrote. Adam Kinzinger on his social networks after learning that the former governor of South Carolina had given in to pressure from the Republican Party to send citizens a signal of being united ahead of the November elections.
And it is that, In the final weeks of his campaign, being left alone against Trump in the fight for the conservative candidacy, Haley raised the tone of her speech, going so far as to define her adversary as someone linked to chaos.
“Chaos follows him. We cannot afford four more years of chaos and survive,” he said days before ending his campaign.
However, the former ambassador to the United Nations (UN) she was forced to recant and unexpectedly this week, without fully endorsing him, agreed that she would vote for him.
“As a voter, I put my priorities on a president who will stand with our allies and hold our enemies accountable, who will secure the border, no more excuses.
Trump has not been perfect in these policies. I have made it clear many, many times, but Biden has been a catastrophe. Then I’ll vote for Trump“, he declared publicly.
Although Haley’s position has changed, it is very likely that Kinzinger remains firm in his idea that it is best to turn his back on the 77-year-old Republican, as he even describes him as a being quite far from God.
“I’m going to go out on a limb: This man is not a Christian. If you are a supportive Christian, you don’t understand your own religion.
“Trump is weak, skinny, smelly, a victim, with a bellyache, but he is not a Christian and he is not ‘the man of God,’” he wrote in January on platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
