Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen expanded its history. The team defeated Augsburg 2-1 and became the first undefeated team in Bundesliga history.
With goals from Víctor Boniface (12th minute) and Robert Andrich (27th minute)Leverkusen extended their unbeaten streak to 34 games in Germany’s first division.
The Leverkusen team finished the 34 rounds with 28 wins, 6 draws and zero losses for a total of 90 points. They finished 15 points ahead of Bayern Munich.
In more than 120 years of German football history, Bayer Leverkusen It is the first undefeated team in the Bundesliga, first title for the club and now they will play in the UEFA Champions League.
Now the team will have two more games to continue its undefeated streak. Leverkusen has one game left in the German Cup final against Kaiserslautern, on May 25.
