Luka Doncic experienced a surreal situation this Thursday when, in the middle of his press conference after winning in Oklahoma (110-119), a recording with sexual moans was leaked who dumped the Dallas Mavericks star first without words and then laughing.

“I hope it’s not live…“, joked the Slovenian.

Doncic had just sat down in the press room and answered the first question about what had changed compared to the first game they lost against the Thunder (1-1 now in this Western semifinal).

“Just our energy. “I think we shot the basket very well (…) sharing the ball and our energy was great,” Doncic responded when, suddenly, some moans were heard.

The Balkan looked up dumbfounded and looked for where those sounds were coming from. After a few seconds without a response, he lowered his head with a smile and He put his hand to his face while the journalists also laughed at the extravagance of the situation.

Back to the strictly sporting level, the Dallas leader, who has problems with his right knee, reflected on how he is dealing with this injury.

“I think it was one of the hardest games I’ve ever had to play. I’m out there fighting, trying to do my best to help my team win.”, he claimed.

“It’s just my mentality to have a great start and then the team is going to follow me,” he added.

Doncic, who suffered everything (blood on his left knee, which is the ‘good’ one, a blow to the face and discomfort in his ankle…), was proud and finished bordering on the triple-double with 29 points (11 of 21 in shots, 5 of 8 in triples), 10 rebounds and 7 assists.

He was also very well accompanied in a great night for the Mavericks thanks to PJ Washington (29 points and 11 rebounds with a tremendous 7 of 11 in triples), Tim Hardaway Jr. (crucial with 17 points from the bench), Daniel Gafford (13 points and 7 rebounds), Josh Green (11 points)… And all this with a great 18 of 37 in triples.

Kyrie Irving only scored 9 points but distributed 11 assists. The series now travels to Dallas, which will host games three and four on Saturday and Monday.
