Faced with the possibility that Donald Trump could govern the nation for a second time, fifty officials linked to the health sector took on the task of signing a letter in which they agree that the 77-year-old Republican would focus his government plan on making access to health for millions of citizens more complex. and therefore they urge you to avoid supporting it on the ballot.
“The possibility that Americans will not receive essential healthcare, whether due to cost or lack of access, is one of our biggest concerns.
If elected president, Donald Trump will make our fears come true. Under Trump, the price of healthcare for American families would skyrocket, and millions of people would lose access to healthcare altogether.
Therefore, we encourage everyone who cares about the price, availability and security of healthcare to keep Mr. Trump out of the White House,” part of the document states.
The officials’ accusations are allegedly based on the experience they lived when the Republicans took control of the government. and that is why they want to avoid at all costs seeing Donald Trump triumph in the November elections.
“It raised the cost of insurance for all participants, and reduced funding for consumer assistance navigators by 84% and disclosure by 90%.
“We have every reason to think that the plan of a second Trump Administration would be worse,” they emphasize.
Although the New York magnate has ruled out completely eliminating the current health system, he leaves open the possibility of restructuring the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
However, the letter prepared by the officials mentions that it is still unknown how they would do it.
“In the current campaign, he has advocated for restructuring or eliminating the FDA and CDC organizations that have historically protected us from disasters due to ineffective or dangerous drugs and deadly infections. “Such changes would sicken countless Americans and make American health care much less safe and effective,” the document emphasizes.
These and other points of concern expressed by officials will be published in an advertisement as part of a promotional campaign paid for by advisers promoting Joe Biden’s possible re-election in states considered key to victory.
