The beef continues! Kendrick Lamar does not wait for Drake's response and releases 'Not Like Us'

Drake faces the challenge of responding to Kendrick Lamar’s latest insult in his Mustard-produced song “Not Like Us.” In this song, Kendrick has been extremely direct and has made significant accusations in the lyrics directed at Drake.

This is their third song in 36 hours, all directed at the ‘God’s Plan’ singer. The song is available on the rapper’s official account and is quickly identified with Drake, because in the video there are shots of his mansion, located on the outskirts of Toronto.

In the audiovisual material, Lamar’s team added sex offender map symbols.

In the piece, the rapper focuses on his southern tone and begins with the phrase “Psst: I see dead people” (“Pssst: I see dead people,” in Spanish).

The song continues with a series of personal attacks on Drake, most of which are directed at comments the rapper has made in the past about dating women younger than him.

Phrases within the song: (“And Baka got a weird case/Why is he around?/Certified Lover Boys, certified pedophiles”).

In Spanish: (“And Baka has a strange case/Why is he around here?/Certified lovers, certified pedophiles”).

Other songs from Lamar towards Drake

The conflictive history between Drake and Kendrick Lamar is not new. It is a rivalry that has been going on for a long time and in this La Opinión article we explain the origin of the dispute.

Before ‘Not Like Us’, Lamar he wrote two other songs for the Canadian: ‘Euphoria’ and ‘6:16 in LA’.

According to Variety, with the title of the second song, Lamar wanted to make fun of Drake and his pieces that “mark time” such as: ‘4PM in Calabasas’, from 2012, and ‘8 AM in Charlotte’, from 2023.

In the song, the ‘Like That’ musician addresses Drake’s OVO (October’s Very Own) team, the name of the label he founded with Noah ’40’ Shebib and Oliver El-Khatib.

You read verses like: “Have you ever thought that OVO was workin’ for me? / Fake bully, I hate bullies, you must be a terrible person / Everyone in your team is whispering that you deserve it.”

In Spanish: (“Did you ever think OVO was working for me? / Fake bully, I hate bullies, you must be a terrible person / Everyone on your team whispers that you deserve it.”)

After those two songs, the Canadian rapper responded with ‘Family Matters’ and in it he directly attacks the rapper and accuses him of having hit his partner, even though Lamar has not faced public complaints about domestic violence.

Verses are read like: (They hired a crisis management team/To clean up the fact that you beat on your queen).

In Spanish: (They hired a crisis management team/to clean up the fact that you hit your queen).

Lamar responded with ‘Meet the Grahams’ addressing Drake’s son, Adonis, and other family members.

Among the most important verses are: (“Dear Adonis, I’m sorry that that man is your father, let me be honest / It takes a man to be a man, your dad is not responsive / I look at him and wish your grandpa woulda wore a condom/ I’m sorry that you gotta grow up and then stand behind him”).

In Spanish: (Dear Adonis, I’m sorry that man is your father, let me be honest/It takes a man to be a man, your dad doesn’t respond/I look at him and wish your grandfather had used a condom/I’m sorry that you. I have than grow up and then be behind him).

She also calls him a predator and tells her mother that he raised a horrible person. “Him and Weinstein should get fucked up in a cell for the rest of their lives.”

The fans of this beef They wait for Drake’s response after he hears ‘Not Like Us’.
