Iran says it has no intention of continuing attacks on Israel

The Iranian Foreign Minister, Hosein Amir Abdolahian stated this Sunday that Iran has no intention to “continue defensive operations”in reference to the attack against Israel, but stressed that he will not hesitate to “protect its interests” if necessary.

“Right now, The Islamic Republic of Iran has no intention to continue defensive operationsbut if necessary it will not hesitate to protect its legitimate interests in the face of any new aggression,” Abdolahian said on his X account.

“The exercise of the right of self-defense demonstrates Iran’s responsible approach to peace and regional and international security,” added the head of Iranian diplomacy.

The Government of Iran maintains that the attack launched against Israel last morning has been a success and returned this Sunday to threaten new offensives, while the world expressed its concern about the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East and calls for containment.

Iran launched dozens of drones and missiles at Israel in response to the attack on its consulate in Syria on April 1, which killed six Syrians and seven members of the Revolutionary Guard, including the leader of its Quds Force branch for Syria. and Lebanon, Brigadier General Mohamed Reza Zahedi.
