At least three people were killed during shootings in Falls Township, a town in North Philadelphia, after a suspect opened fire and fled in a stolen vehicle, police said.

After these events, authorities issued a shelter alert for residents and asked the community not to visit Falls Township for the time being.

“There have been confirmed shootings in Falls Township. “There are multiple gunshot victims and it is not known at this time if they are random or specific,” the Middletown Township Police Department said on its Facebook page.

The suspect, considered extremely dangerous, was later identified as Andre Gordon26, and is believed to be in possession of an assault rifle, which he would have used to kill the three victims.

According to Telemundo 51, the man was driving a stolen vehicle this Saturday morning and shot and killed two people who lived inside a home.

The third victim was shot while Gordon was fleeing from authorities, who responded to the emergency around 8:52 a.m., according to the police report.

The Bucks County prosecutor’s office, which encompasses the area, indicated that its workers and “other law enforcement agents” are assisting the Falls Township Police in the investigation and recommend calling emergency services in case of “suspicious activities.”
