The Mexican team will face Panama next Thursday in the semifinals of the Concacaf Nations League with a team that will have a dozen figures from European leagues and 13 from local tournamentThe Mexican Football Federation confirmed this Friday.
After winning the Gold Cup last year, Mexico intends to take the Nations League title from the United States. but first they will have to overcome the Panamanians, one of the fastest growing teams in recent years.
Front Hirving Lozanofrom PSV Eindhoven, and Santiago Gimenez, from Feyenoord; the steering wheel Luis Chavezfrom Dynamo Moscow, the defender Jorge Sanchezfrom Porto, and the goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoafrom Salernitana, are some of the players called from Europe for the match against Panama.
Mexico reached the semifinals of the Nations League after a long-suffering quarter-final victory over Honduras. If they beat Panama, they will compete for the title against the winner of the tie between United States and Jamaica.
