In Mexico, political campaigns have already begun towards the election on June 2, a process that has not been spared by violent events, which is why in Michoacán a candidate for deputy decided to start his campaign with a bulletproof vest.

Through his social networks, the coordinator of the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD) in the Chamber of Deputies, and who seeks re-election for the position, issued a message in which he came out wearing the bulletproof vest.

“Insecurity threatens the lives and well-being of our families, This is how I will tour the district of Apatzingán to defend you and our country”, after which he invited people to vote for him and for the coalition he represents.

He then offered an interview that was picked up by the media outlet El Sol de Zamora, in which he said that in the Tierra Caliente of Michoacán there are no conditions for political campaigns to be carried out, and he recalled the mine attack in which four soldiers died.

He also pointed out that crime is “overflowing” both in Michoacán and throughout Mexico, since there is no correct strategy on the part of the federal government to combat it.
