These are some of the suggestions that the newspaper analyzed and presents to citizens

United States Senate: Adam Schiff

Because: The polarization of the people and the possibility that Donald Trump returns to the White House in 2025 makes it necessary for a leader like Adam Schiff to be in the Senate to defend our democracy.

United States Congress

District 30: Anthony Portantino

Because: For his support of workers, his commitment to the fight for the environment, firearms safety, and the funding of special education.

District 31: Susan Rubio

Because: For her defense of the Latino community as a state senator, her support for the right to abortion, her commitment to immigration reform and her efficiency in solving problems of her population,

District 34: Jimmy Gomez

Because: He is a congressman committed to the defense of minorities, a warrior of social justice and a Latino immigrant who knows well the needs and aspirations of the community.

California State Senate

District 31: Sabrina Cervantes

Why: his work for environmental and social justice and immigrants, for their efficiency and energy in parliamentary work and for their knowledge of the legislative world.

California State Assembly

District 52: David Giron

Because: for her 12 years of experience focused on improving access to government, creating environmental equity, and providing economic resilience to working-class families

District 53: Javier Hernandez

Because: He is a genuine representative of our community and we trust that he will remain faithful to his principles and that from Sacramento he will continue his work for workers and immigrants.

District 54: Mark Gonzalez

Why: This local activist, son of low-income Mexican immigrants, agricultural worker mother and truck driver father, will not forget his roots and will work to improve education.

District 10: Aura Vasquez

Because: This Afro-Latina immigrant is committed to defending policies that address the inequality suffered by the Latino community, in access to education, health care and affordable housing.

District 14: Miguel Santiago

Because: He has been a prolific legislator and is the author of numerous laws that benefit all Californians. He will overcome the controversies of the past in the 14th district.

Los Angeles County

Attorney General: George Gascon

Because: believes in the rehabilitation of criminals and the prevention of crime as a central element for its reduction. His opponents attack him for fulfilling what he promised in his electoral campaign

Board of Supervisors

District 2:Holly Mitchell

Because: She is the only one of the candidates who has the knowledge, experience and leadership to join the board, with her work for the sake of integrity and transparency in the government

District 5: Kathryn Barger

Because: In 2025-29 budget deficits will be more difficult to bear and your cautious hand is needed. It will finish its projects to improve mental health and resources for abortion

Los Angeles Unified School District, District 1: DeWayne Davis

Because: He has already shown results in the classroom and held different school administrative positions, virtues that differentiate him from his rivals; he is the right person
