Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz wants to check if Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero “He is as strong with his fists as he is with his mouth” when they face each other for the WBA super lightweight belt on March 30 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

In an interview with BoxingScene, Pitbull Cruz expressed that Rolly Romero’s main strength is trash talk, but he assured that won’t pay attention to anything you say because all he cares about is getting ready to put up a good fight.

“I respect every opponent, every person. The only time I lose that respect is when I’m inside the ring, exchanging blows with them. Clearly, Rolly’s main strength is talking trash outside of the ring. Let’s see if he backs up that trash talk in the ring and if he is as strong with his fists as with his mouth”, said.

“Look, I really don’t care one bit what he can or can’t do. He has the mischief to him. He says some crazy things outside the ring. But as long as he comes out on March 30 ready to put on a good fight against me, a fight for the fans to enjoy, that’s all that matters to me. “I don’t give a shit what he says because I’m concentrating on my own work,” he added.

Although some sports experts think that the duel between both boxers will be very even and the Mexican starts as a favorite, some predict that Rolly Romero He will have no problems defending his belt for the first time of the WBA super lightweight against Pitbull Cruz, but others think that the challenger has what it takes to win the fight.

It should be noted that the American champion before this fight was interested in a duel with Ryan García, but Rolly Romero decided to push the Californian aside and the confrontation with the Mexican boxer concludedwho was also looking to get in the ring against King Ry.

The fight will mark the second opportunity for the Mexican boxer to be crowned world champion. In his first opportunity, Pitbull Cruz was defeated in a close duel against Gervonta Davis in 2021.

Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz, 24, achieved an important victory against Giovanni Cabrera last July and Now he will have another chance to try to win his first world title. The Mexican boxer has a professional record of 25 victories (17 of them by fast track), two losses and one draw.

For his part, Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero, 27, became the WBA super lightweight champion after his controversial victory over Venezuelan Ismael Barroso, who is now interim champion of the division. The American has a record of 15 wins (12 by fast track) and one loss.
